SATURDAY, MARCH 17: GERMANTOWN & DELAWARE COUNTY

1:00PM - "Parade for Peace: End the Violence - Here, There, and
Everywhere"
Beginning at the New Covenant Church Campus, 7600 Germantown Ave
(across from Trolley Car Diner).

The Peace Parade will move south on Germantown Avenue to Vernon Park, 5800 Germantown Avenue. There will be rallies at the start and at the end of the parade at 4:00 pm.

Churches, high schools, community groups, and peace organizations will be forming their own contingents so they can parade together. There will
also be marching bands and drill teams.

Delaware County VIGIL TO BRING THE TROOPS HOME NOW
1:00-2:15 p.m. vigils (many locations, see below)
2:30 p.m. hot cocoa, snacks, & sharing at Peace Center of Delaware County (1001 Old Sproul Rd, Springfield, Delaware County)


Gather with your Delaware County neighbors who will vigil with signs and banners at major intersections along the entire length of Baltimore Pike in Delaware County from Chadds Ford to the Philadelphia line. After the local vigils, people are invited to the Peace Center of Delaware County for refreshments & reflection.

Philadelphia, PA - 4th Anniversary of the War Eve 6:30PM, Philadelphia Area-wide Candlelight Vigil for Peace,
Independence Mall Visitors Center, 6th & Market Sts., Phila., PA.

The solemn candlelight vigil will include: the reading of names of war dead - U.S. and Iraqi - , bell-tolling, religious leaders, and other
speakers, poetry, music, and "Mourning to Resistance" Memorial to end the war.

Monday, MARCH 19, 4th Anniversary of the Iraq War
Lockheed Martin, Valley Forge, PA It's Time Now to (Again!) Resist the War and the War-makers!

Noon, Nonviolent Resistance to the War at the War's chief profiteer, Lockheed Martin, Mall & Goddard Boulevards, Valley Forge/King of Prussia, PA (behind the King of Prussia Mall). 

Those interested or planning on participating in nonviolent civil disobedience need to call the Brandywine office, 610-544-1818,
by March 5 and attend a preparation/planning meeting. 

On March 20th, 2003, 107 people were arrested for blockading the Phila. Federal Building and for declaring "No Business As Usual" the day after the start of the war in Iraq.  The Brandywine Peace Community organized the largest act of nonviolent resistance in the history of the Philadelphia area as part of the Phila. Area Iraq Pledge of Resistance campaign. Again, its time to act!

Any area group wishing to have its name listed in news releases and event
programs as an endorser of the March 18th Candlelight Vigil and the March 19th
Nonviolent Resistance at Lockheed Martin are asked to call or e-mail the
